COLORADO COMMUNITY CHAMPION COACHING
The goal of the coaching is to support each organization in identifying and making progress toward implementing a policy, system, or environmental change within their organization or system that will prevent or delay the initiation of cannabis use by young people.
Strategies could include, but are not limited to assessing and updating school discipline policy (examining punitive measures for cannabis that serve to further put young people at risk for dropping out of school, becoming disconnected from their community, etc.); implementing district or school-wide climate change strategies; or promoting relationship building skills for adults working with young people through required professional development opportunities; integrating positive youth development approaches in clinical, treatment, judicial, recreational, or school settings.
